Who We Are

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time. 

The Kiwanis Club of Pawleys Island is a volunteer-led service organization focused on literacy, youth development leadership skills and community service. With over 27 years of community service, we are a part of the global Kiwanis International network (www.kiwanis.org), dedicated to improving the lives of children and communities. We believe every child deserves an opportunity to be curious, safe and healthy regardless of the community in which they live. We are generous with our time. We are creative with our ideas. We are passionate about making a difference, and we have fun along the way.

Our main goal is to increase the literacy rate in Georgetown county elementary school children. We do this through our signature service project – The Literacy Project. Visit our Literacy Page, to learn more.
